There’s no better way to enjoy a fall day with the kids than to visit a farm, take a hayride, pick some pumpkins and enjoy the great outdoors. You don’t have to head to the wilds of Sussex County or Upstate New York to experience autumn pleasures. In fact, families with kids anywhere in the New York City area can find wonderful farms and fall fun, all within easy driving distance!
These farms offer hayrides and more and are located right in Bergen County, New Jersey, just 30-minutes from Manhatten!
Abma’s Farm Market, Wyckoff
This popular Wyckoff farm features open hayrides and pony rides on Saturdays, strolls through the pumpkin patch and fresh apple cider. Look for the scarecrows and feed the farm animals. Reservations for hayrides are suggested. No reservations needed for open hayrides.

D’Angelo Farms, Dumont
Let your child enjoy his or her birthday party at D’Angelo Farms, where pumpkin picking and painting, hayrides and pony rides, a teepee and a hay maze are all part of the fun. Demarest Farms, Hillsdale
Reservations are required for weekday hayrides between 9:30 am and 3 pm, with a minimum of 10 people. No reservations are required on the weekends, when rides begin at 10 am and go until 4:30 pm.

DePiero’s Country Farm, Montvale
DiPiero’s has been serving the folks in Bergen County since 1924. Hayrides and pumpkin picking available Monday through Friday afternoons until closing. Weekends 9:30 am to 5 pm.
